NEET Counselling 2026 : MCC Dates, Process & Fees

Latest Update(01 August 2026): MCC has announced the NEET UG 2026 counselling schedule today. The counselling process has been revised with new rules, including no mandatory physical reporting for candidates opting for seat upgrades, making admissions more transparent and convenient. Only candidates who freeze their seats must visit the allotted institute with original documents for physical verification and admission.

About UG Medical

All the NEET Under Graduate (MBBS/BDS) aspirant candidates are hereby informed that counseling for All India Quota seats/ Institutional Quota/ Domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune for the Under graduate session 2023-24 will be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee/ Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

  • For participation in Institutional Quota (internal) seats of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), internal quota seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, candidates are required to go for registration at official website of Medical Counseling Committee (https://www.mcc.nic.in/).
  • Candidates of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would be eligible for participation against the 15% All India Quota seats
  • Candidates to note that Non- Refundable registration counseling fees and refundable tuition fees have to be paid by the candidate at the time of registration.
  • Reservation of seats under PH Category has been increased from 3% to 5% and the 21 Benchmark Disabilities as envisaged under the regulations of “THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 2016” are included under the PH category for participation. When will the NEET 2026 counselling take place?

The regulatory body for NEET-UG exams, the NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts NEET in the offline mode (pen-paper test).

Who Can Participate ?

Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 are eligible for MCC counselling for:

You can apply for any of the states except for the 3 which are not taking admissions through NEET’17. For the states you have a domicile certificate or a residence proof, you’ll get admission under the 85% percent quota. For the rest of the states you apply, you’ll be considered through AIR 15% of the seats. Frankly, for the marks you’ve secured I suggest try only through the 85% quota of your domicile states if you are a general category student. And yes, state counselling will include private colleges too.
